With just hours before the curtain comes down on the 2013 Red Bull X-Alps, the remaining athletes are putting in a last desperate effort to make it to Monaco before the race ends at 12:00 on Friday.

On Sunday, July 7 at 11:30am the Red Bull X-Alps 2013 gets underway, the extremely difficult paragliding and running competition all the way from Salzburg in Austria to the Principality of Monaco.

On 10 July Cristian Brenna and Giovanni Ongaro freed "Up & Down", the route on the Chogolisa's Central Pillar (5300m circa - S-SE) first ascended by Hervé Barmasse, Luca Maspes, Francesca Chenal and Brenna himself at the end of June.
